Hope you are doing good. So this week, I am swatching my Maybelline Colorama Nail Paints, which I recently purchased (read HERE).

Marinho, a gorgeous blue with very fine shimmer (almost golden), nothing too gritty or sparkly. I love the depth of the color and my swatch below is two coats. The color applied evenly without streaking.

October Vellvette Box Review

I am probably tha last one to receive and share my October Vellvette Box over the Indian Blogoshere. The thing is first the Vellvette team called in to confirm the subscription since my order was COD. But, I couldn't take their call on time. So they delayed my order without giving me an email confirmation. Then, once I started seeing so many boxes on the blogosphere, I decided to mail them. They took my emial as a confirmation (thank god!) and sent the box to my address within two days. Sadly, I gave them my office address and it was lying in my office for a good four days before I got hold of it, yesterday.

But as they say, waiting makes things sweeter, so it happened with me as well. Read on to find out more about my experience with this box. Firstly, I love the box and the pink ribbon with a bow.

Microwave Recipe: Sooji Halwa

How was your weekend, hope all of you are having a good time this festive season. Today, I decided to make some halwa, poori, and chole, as jains traditionally don't celebrate navratras but of course, everyone loves good food.

So, today I decided to make the traditional Sooji halwa, but in a microwave and with milk. So, I start by listing ingredients first:

1 cup Sooji / Semolina
1/2 cup ghee / clarified butter
1 cup Sugar
4 cups Milk
A few strands of saffron
Cardamom Powder (1 tsp)
Some nuts (for garnish)

Start by adding the strands of saffron to milk and let them sit for 10-15 minutes.

Hope you all had a nice weekend, I for one sure did. Saturday was friends day at home, cooked some tasty food and had a blast with friends. Sunday was Movie Day, we saw English Vinglish. Totally loved it, the movie makes it to my list of all-time favourite movies. Sridevi looks super awesome and has acted brilliantly. Loved everything about the movie, the family, the protagonist's passion for making ladoos, and her right to be accepted just as the way she is in the movie. It is so true and touching even in these times where the women are working, are independent, yet they are being belittled in every small step or move they take towards their happiness. Most of all, the movie teaches us how not be judgemental of people we meet 'cause of their inability to do something, which is considered as a societal norm.

Time for the Nails of the Week alreday??? The week is going away in a whiff. I know this is how the time is going to fly away till the festivities end. Adn that would be only after the new year is here for me, yippeee!!! I love it...

Enough blabbering though, please welcome the nails of the week. This week I am ahowing you all a nail paint from Nail Juice in #48 (also shown HERE). The formula is on the thinner side, and the pigmentation is ok. The nai paint is more of a shimmery nail paint and below are two coats on my nails which were good for opaque coverage. 

(I guess the flash is making the green appear more yellow, though it is not)
